DOG KENNEL RESIDENCES FACE EVICTION WHILE DOGS SCURRY
UPDATE SUNDAY April 13.
Broward County Court system has granted Dogs Inn a stay order
until the end of April. The stay order was mainly asked for to avoid
confiscating animals into already overcrowded shelter system. And
to allow residents to find housing.

We are trying to help this dog Kennel as part of a fast moving and HUGE
humanitarian effort. I am working on that release as I write the plea for
transport. 25 dogs will be going to Paws2Help in West Palm Beach after
they originally pledged 10!

Paws2Help will donate all their own medical work on the dogs they
pull.

We worked all day until about 8 pm checking for chips, marking dogs and
photographing everyone. More details later please get ready to get the rest
out!!!  All the cats have been removed and placed already along with about
45 dogs.

We are urging the Media to come to Dogs Inn and see what is being done
to help the almost 70 dogs left over.  There are 2 and 3 week puppies that
will go to rescue that will need homes when they are ready.

To rescue groups If you are a 501c3 Rescue that currently contracts with
any Animal Control Agency please pledge to rescue animals from the Inn
after they are scanned, cataloged, and spot checked. The exodus has
already begun (about 50 animals) but a large number of dogs that are in
residence will need to start moving starting Saturday late afternoon. It is
recommended as all dogs should be treated as potentially sick and safely
quarantined. There can be as many as 70-85 dogs left over tomorrow to
start with.

Send an email to this address jmorwei@bellsouth.net. We need to move
quickly to remove all dogs by Sunday night to assure all are removed and
do not wind up in the already crowed shelters. Photos of candidates for
rescue will be sent from the site. We will number them and check for
contracts held or any paperwork we can obtain to match up with the dog.

Please call Tammy at 954-540-5183 for directions to the facility. The
dogs are in URGENT need of being pulled before they are forced to
leave. We are trying to keep every last dog out of the shelters
through our efforts!!!

Free spay and Neuter and 5 in one shots, have been arranged by Planned
Pethood of Miami on 7th and 137th street in Miami Florida, 305-687-7729,
Please mention Bea Rose and Maggie of Good Sheppard.

If you cannot pull a dog help the rescues by providing:

  • Veterinarian services including tick and flea treatments
  • Water dishes, food dishes
  • Transport assistance for rescues
  • Low cost spay/neuter, micro-chips
  • Sponsorship for medicine, vaccinations
  • Crates with insert
  • Food, treats, toys
  • Please make donations to rescue groups that make the pledge to
pull by contacting the groups directly.

After all the dogs are placed a list of participating rescues will be sent to
several lists so you can contact them and offer your donations, assistance,
volunteer or get your adoption applications filled out.

A memorial service will be held after the exodus is over for animals that
sadly have not been lucky enough to have made it this far.
And for all the animals found that the Doctor’s cannot save.
