| IMPORTANT NOTE: Owner Surrenders We are a volunteer group, we do not function like your typical corporate machine. If you have a dog that you can no longer keep we obviously want to keep it out of the shelter. At the same time, the placement times vary greatly. I have personally fostered dogs for 9 months on more than one occasion. Some hurdles that are Key factors are if your dog is older, your dog can be the ONLY animal in the house. Those things usually make those dogs harder to place. We ask for your patience. We are not a service that typically can place a dog in a day or even a week. We ask for your patience and understanding when you must give up your Bull Terrier. And know that we are working VERY hard at trying to obtain a home for your pet. When you take in account that for the most part the foster system is full, and if your dog can be an only dog it may be some time before we can place the dog. We also have guidelines to follow and that also factors in the time for placements. |
Bonnie is doing much better and is ready to find a forever home. She is social and
very sweet. She is learning a lot as she recovers from her abuse and neglect. The
good food, love and medical attention has done her wonders. Her hair has come
back quickly and she really is a playful girl. She likes to please and is fully trained.

This is Mr. Man, he is a great guy. Fawn white with the typical airbrushing
of black on the facial areas. He has no known health issues. He is very
spunky, yet quiet and a PERFECT gentleman in the house!
Mr Man is okay with other dogs but he picks and chooses his friends so it
has to be a case by case basis if he is going to be an only dog or not. He
is not good with cats although not terrible.
The Vet thinks Mr. Man's age at about 6-7 years old. He is crate trained
and has great manors. His favorite is to be next to you at night watching

and is full of bully Puppy yet surprisingly well mannered. He is
very energetic, but listens and loves to run around the back yard
and he loves to play. Rex is dog friendly and kid friendly. He does
not have any known health issues.
He could use to gain a pound or 2 but other than that he is ready
for a forever home.

This is Lola, she is a great 3 year old girl! Lola is house trained. She also
has never broken furniture or even a shoe!!! I have given her house food as a
treat every once in a while but no spaghetti sauce or pork it doesn't sit well
with her. She loves to play catch and even jumps on trampolines with you.
Likes boats and jumping into pools any water activities, however she has
never jumped in without my ok. She will start barking or more like a crying if
you open the hose cause she loves to play with water. Her English needs
work. She is extremely affectionate; she was raised with a Chihuahua, so
she does think she is that small and what to sit on people laps, lol. Gets
along very well with small dogs and know how to play with them. She does
sit, go down and jump on command. She will not bite you if you pull her food

Madge has been fixed, chipped shots and the works and will be ready to go
after she can have a bath and some nice photos

shy. After testing her with other dogs, it is probably best she go to an only dog
house. She needs the full treatment here at SFTBRL before she can be
released. But get your applications in early so we can qualify your home. She

and was held at the shelter for the standard 2 weeks (at this particular
shelter) and we rescued her on Saturday December 1st.

Whitey another young one. He is a real nice guy. I have never seen
one with 4 stark white paws. It makes him look like he is wearing
socks. He is dark brindle with striking black stripe down the middle
of his blaze. He is young, under a year old. He is small. He is
completely crate trained already and is scheduled for the works from
our vet right after Christmas.
Whitey is a well behaved, good with people but is dominant to other
dogs. It is better he either be the only dog or with another larger
male. He can be accessed case by case. But one thing is for sure
he is a great dog.

needs a home that will show her a good life. We are still learning about
her and as we do we will keep you posted. She is very striking like Whitey
in that she had two patches over her eyes and otherwise white. You can
tell she is small from the photos compared to the small pillow she is on
top of. She is crate trained, good with other dogs no cats. We think she
was kept in a crated and abused. We have a lot of success with these
dogs, AKA Higgins. They turn out to be the most loyal. Please send us your
