Joe painted this painting from a photo he took of Rosie. Little did anyone know it would be the last photograph taken of Rosie. Shortly after the photo that inspired this painting Rosie died of Renal failure. This painting of Rosie is an example of the work of artist Joe Morweiser. Paintings are available to bid on at National Rescue Events as well as local rescue groups. 100% of the money is donated to rescue funds or dogs in need, everywhere. Joe does not sell paintings commercially. He strictly paints for charity. This painting was sold in a silent auction quite a few years ago at a Silverwood specialty show.
This site is dedicated to Frances. Named after the hurricane she came into the system too late for us to get her the medical attention she needed, she died shortly after the storm from severe complications of distemper.

April 26th $5 Dollar Mile Walk for the Animals The last weekend of April 2008, April 26th marks the first $5 Dollar Mile walk for the animals! Watch for the official press release coming soon. Information will include a list of participating rescues, clinics and other organizations that will be involved in this ground breaking fund raiser. Each time a walk is planned, more groups will be invited to participate and eventually the event will grow it into a statewide or national effort. Every participating rescue benefits from their involvement in the walk. This is your event, your group, your community, your route your contacts. Unlike other dog walks everyone does not meet at one site, and the walk benefits each group separately. Not just a fund raiser; this is a progressive event where we will be teaching breed education and awareness. Address issues of canine discrimination. Leading by example in the progressive teaching of responsible dog ownership. Each group may choose to have different elements such as an after party or meet the breed to make it more fun and individualized. LOOK FOR DETAILS and SPONSORSHIP opportunities within the next week! Sign up to sponsor a walker for a few miles!
