Envision Registan Mini Bullies
I remembered who I painted "Bree's Mom" for;  It was for the Mini people MBTCA. I got an email from the owner
today.  She was kind enough to put a link on her page, I just had to tell the story of the painting, that painting
was done in 2002 I think for the CA Mini Shows.

Paul and I wanted a Bull Terrier 15 years before we finally purchased one! We didn't care if it was a miniature or a
standard.  Bree, our “mini”, came into our lives in 1996.

A friend told me about Mike and Kathy F. who also live in Indiana and owned Miniature Bull Terriers.  At the time,
we knew nothing about conformation. I’d been strictly an obedience exhibitor, showing GSD’s since childhood
through the 4-H club’s dog obedience classes, teaching dog obedience to 4-H children & getting an AKC CDX on
several GSD’s.  We bred Doxies for several years, but again, didn’t know anything about showing in conformation
events.

I called Kathy and asked if we could meet them and bring Bree for them to see. It was an instant friendship and they
offered to show Bree for us.  We learned that Mike and Kathy had been in dogs for more than 35 years, starting with
Afghan Hounds and have been very successful in the show ring. That was the start of Envision/Registan and a
wonderful friendship.  We’ve come a long way since 1996.

Bree was the Top Producing Female Miniature Bull Terrier of 2000 & 2004.  We loved Bree so much that we were
ecstatic to able to bring her litter sister “Windy” into our lives.  Both girls have produced multiple placing group
winners. Including producing the #1 Miniature Bull Terrier Breed & All breed two years in a row!!

Envision/Registan was proud to have created the first ever Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America’s calendar to raise
money for the health and rescue of our beloved breed and we have organized multiple auctions at the annually
supported Kentucky dog shows to raise money for the same. Health and Rescue are very important to us. We do not
take it lightly. We do the maximum health testing on all our breeding stock to ensure healthy, happy, quality
puppies, but we are not a large kennel. All our Mini Bulls are in-home, not kennel raised, therefore we have only one
or two litters per year.

This breed is still considered rare, with less than 150 puppies registered with the American Kennel Club every year.
Therefore, it’s not a breed you can get the minute you decide you want one. We advise everyone to shop around,
find a breeder they trust, don’t be afraid to ask questions, get on the breeder’s waiting list and be patient. It could
take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to get a puppy unless you’re very lucky, because most breeder’s litters are
spoken for before they hit the ground.

There are many breeders that help out with Rescue that deserve to be recognized for their work throughout the years.
I encourage people to rescue a Bully and then perhaps get on a waiting list from a great breeder obtain and raise a puppy
and enter the show ring.;
You can get  familiar with the breed come to the shows, join a club, be active. And then do I like I did
and get involved in service work. Without the ring there would be no rescue, without breeders there would be no dogs and
without all us working together we could not rescue in the first place.  One bully is never enough anyway :)
